There are various volunteer roles at Suited for Success depending on people’s skill sets and also their area of volunteering preference. There may also be some cross over depending on how busy or quiet appointments are. Meet and Greet – We pride ourselves on making our clients feel welcome when they arrive for their appointment at Suited for Success. Our greeters play an important role to meet and greet clients at the front door, offer them a tea or coffee and introduce them to the member of the team who will be doing the appointment. Gentle duties will also include assisting other members of the team who are dressing clients helping with putting clothing items back or finding sizes also keep areas clean, organised and tidy. Dressing clients  – Our dressing volunteers will meet and greet our referred clients and work closely with each client to find out a bit more about them,  encourage clients with tips and advice ready for their interview, identify potential barriers, listen to their requirements then dress and style clients in an appropriate outfit for their upcoming job interview. Interview coaching – Do you have skills and experience in recruitment, interview coaching, employment coaching or maybe you’re in a managerial role where you have to interview people for jobs. You may be retired, work part-time or you are currently in a role and you get a few employee volunteer days for the year.   We are looking for people who have experience in recruitment to volunteer just once a month to coach unemployed men and women with interview skills and interview practice at Suited for Success. Interested? Please get in touch. Stockroom – duties include sorting and organising clothing donations, hanging our stock and making sure clothes are clean, pressed, hung, immaculately presented and ready to use. This role would suit people who are tidy and have great organisational skills.

No experience is necessary (apart from the interview coaching role) as full training and support will be given. However, we’re looking for people to volunteer just a few hours a month, who have lots of energy, have great communication skills and are passionate about helping and encouraging men and women of all ages and backgrounds. Many of the clients we see are experiencing significant personal barriers to employment including ex-offenders, long term unemployed, substance misuse recovery, homelessness, care leavers, ex-military and NEET 16-24 young people. Suited for Success is a practical vehicle to move people from long-term unemployment, crime and homelessness into employment, so they can become independent and break free from the cycle of poverty.

We are asking for volunteers to commit to a just one shift a month. Volunteer times are the following: Thursdays: 10am – 3pm Friday: 10am – 3pm Tuesday evenings: 5.30pm – 7.30pm
