FIRS (Friends in Retirement) run “Self Help” groups where every member shares advice and useful experience- but there is no requirement to listen or act on the advice. This promotes a cosy environment (helped along by one group meeting in the Brit. Legion bar). Our other established group is at Balsall Common, whilst a brand new group is forming at a new venue for us: the Whar Hall Community hall, at the north end of Damson Lane, Elmdon. All three groups are very popular –so we must be getting it right.

You need no experience at all to start, and the leader will advise on a small kit of paper, pencils and brushes to get you going. Give them a call, and join one of the finest recreations going.

Equipment needed for session
Your own paintng/art equipment, for example art boards, paint, brushes and desk easels. For more information on equipment contact the leader of this session shown on our timetable pages.
